Happy 34th Independence 268

Independence Holiday here on my Island and I've just finished making stuffed peppers (for the first time might I add) and they came out GREAT! Not bad for a first timer! Yep, that's me tooting my own horn. My thing is, if I don't toot it, who will? :) 

 Anyway, moving right along before you guys start to think I'm an arrogant *bleep* .. I've been wanting/meaning to start this blog thing for a while now, only now getting around to actually doing it. So basically, from what I gather, this is like my Internet Diary. I can say whatever, and whenever I want for the whole world to see? FABULOUS! I've always wanted to spill my thoughts and innermost feelings to a bunch of strangers sitting behind their computers and smart phones! Because let's be honest, the world isn't exactly getting any more sociable. This is as social as it gets folks!

 Sooo, that's pretty much it for my first blog. EVER. Not too shabby, but I'll let the readers be the judge for this one. I came, I saw, I semi-conquered. (Setting up this thing was harder than I thought, ugh!) Just like this photo I got today of a butterfly who kept flying for one area to the next. It finally stood still
on a plastic bottle long enough for me to snap it!

Woman Enough?

  What does it mean to be a woman? The older I get, the more I find myself asking that very question - call it one of those nagging things you pay more attention to as you enter the 30s club, I don't know..  Does it mean married with kids? Because it seems that's the first thing people tend to ask when they get into conversation with you. Are you married? Do you have kids? As if those two checked off makes you any more or less of a complete woman. But does it? By society's standards, it does. Unfortunately, you are somehow not seen as whole if you don't have a family to share your life with. Someone to call your "husband" or someone to call you "wife/mom".
